FAQ

FAQ

How would you describe your style?

I cover weddings in a very journalistic style but I don’t think photography should be limited to a “genre.” While I’m very hands-off and unobtrusive in my coverage of the day, I do believe that there is a time and place for gorgeous, casually posed images of the couple together. So, while I won’t stop you and make you pose while cutting the cake, I’d like about one hour (or more) alone with you both (if possible) sometime during the day to create some images of you without your wedding party or guests looking on. I also believe strongly in preserving all of the details of the wedding; from your cake to your shoes, so my work is very flush with detail images. I also prefer to capture your guests laughing, smiling, dancing and drinking and having a great time, as opposed to stopping and asking them to pose.

What preparations do you make before our wedding?

About a month before the wedding, I will send you a questionnaire to complete (or we can meet and go through it together). The questionnaire covers the final details such as time, formal images, names of wedding party etc.

How do we book?

Contact me at any time, and I will check availability. I'm sorry but, I can't hold the date or pencil you in. I have to be fair to my all of my clients. I accept bookings on a first come first serve basis. In order to book/hold your requested date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, along with an executed Contract. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the wedding date. In the event you need to cancel due to weather or any other unforeseen matter, the deposit may be applied towards a rescheduled booking within six months.

What happens after the wedding?

Because of the importance to me of helping you cherish those memories, it may take up to six weeks for me to edit your wedding photographs (often quicker). You will receive an online gallery link with your photos. You can download all the photos from the gallery and also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

HOW MANY PICTURES WILL WE RECEIVE?

For an eight-to-ten-hour wedding booking, you will receive between 400 to 500 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I choose "the best of the best" and more significant photos to tell your story.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance. Many wedding venues will insist that all your suppliers have appropriate insurance, so I encourage you to make sure that every photographer you speak to also has full coverage

Are you a full-time photographer?

Absolutely! My “job” is a photographer. It isn’t a hobby or part-time thing for me as it is with some other wedding photographers. I’ve been shooting weddings full time for 15 years and because I don’t also have a “day job,” I can give my business 100% commitment in terms of time and effort.

Do you photograph in color or black & white and do you edit all the images?

I shoot exclusively with high-end digital equipment.  Every image that you will receive will have been hand-edited by myself. The editing involves color correcting, cropping and conversion to my signature style.  I deliver every image in both color and black and white.
